A leopard was left severely injured after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on National Highway 44 near Vallur outskirts in Narsingi Mandal, Medak district in Telangana. The accident took place late at night, leaving the big cat struggling for life on the highway.
Eyewitnesses reported that the leopard was attempting to cross the road when it was struck at high speed. Following the impact, the animal was seen writhing in pain, unable to move. Commuters alerted local authorities, who rushed to the scene to assess the situation.
Forest department officials were soon informed, and efforts are underway to provide medical attention to the injured leopard.
Authorities are now investigating the circumstances of the accident and are considering measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
