A dog in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar left scratches on a car after being hit by the vehicle. The unlikely revenge, which took place on January 18, was captured on CCTV and has drawn attention to the animal’s surprising behaviour.
Prahlad Singh Ghoshi, a resident of the Tirupati Puram Colony in Sagar, was driving with his family to a wedding around 2 pm when his car accidentally hit a dog sitting approximately 500 meters from his house. The dog, which appeared uninjured, barked and chased the vehicle for a short distance before disappearing.
Hours later, at around 1 am, Ghoshi returned home and parked the car outside his house. The dog approached the vehicle shortly after he left. CCTV footage showed the animal scratching the car’s surface repeatedly with its paws, causing damage. Another dog briefly joined the first one during the incident.
The next morning, Ghoshi noticed scratches on the car and initially suspected neighbourhood children. However, when he reviewed the CCTV footage, he discovered that the damage had been caused by the same dog that was hit earlier.
The repairs for the scratches cost around Rs 15,000. The dog did not harm Ghoshi or his family, but its actions left them surprised upon realising the connection to the earlier accident.
