A major burglary took place in Tirupati’s CPR Villas, where thieves broke into four consecutive houses and made away with 1.48 kg of gold. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Tiruchanur police station.
The thieves gained entry by cutting through the solar fencing and targeted villas numbered 80, 81, 82, and 83. In one of the villas, 1 kg of gold was stolen from the ground floor while the residents were asleep upstairs.
Another villa was stripped of 48 grams of gold jewellery. The remaining two villas, which were being used as guest houses, were also broken into.
Upon receiving the alert, local police swiftly arrived at the scene, launching a full-scale investigation. A clues team has been deployed to gather forensic evidence, and authorities have begun registering cases based on complaints from the affected homeowners.
