A US military aircraft carrying 120 illegal Indian immigrants landed in Punjab’s Amritsar late on Saturday night.
This is the second such batch of Indians deported by the Donald Trump administration as part of its crackdown on illegal immigration.
As per a list of the 120 deportees exclusively accessed by India Today, over 60 of them are from Punjab and more than 30 are from Haryana. A couple of them are from Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir each.
A third plane carrying 157 Indian deportees is expected to land in Amritsar on Sunday (February 16). Of them, 59 were from Haryana, 52 from Punjab, 31 from Gujarat and the rest from other states, according to another list that was exclusively accessed by India Today TV.
