The minister was on his way to an official event when the cop opened fire near Gandhi Chowk, Brajrajnagar, according to the police. The minister was shot by assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Gopal Das, who is stationed at the Gandhi Chowk police outpost, according to sub-divisional police officer (Brajrajnagar) Gupteswar Bhoi.
