Pathaan made Rs 5.65 crore on Tuesday, which was Valentine’s Day, according to the industry tracker Sacnilk, bringing the movie’s total nett domestic earnings to almost Rs 480 crore. With two days left, this brings the movie’s third-week gross to above Rs 38 crore. This is a good showing considering that Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, directed by SS Rajamouli, was the only movie to surpass the Rs 50 crore mark in its third week, according to Box Office India. The following few days will also provide a better indication of whether Pathaan will surpass Baahubali 2’s Hindi dub, which is now in first place with a total collection of Rs 510.99 cr, and become the highest-earning Hindi film ever.

Pathaan will see its first significant competition this weekend when two high-profile films, Shehzada, starring Kartik Aaryan, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, open in theatres. With his movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik Aaryan helped Bollywood’s box office recover during a time when it was experiencing a slump. It would be difficult for Pathaan to surpass the Rs 500 crore threshold even if his magic worked once again.
Up to Monday, Pathan has a nett box office take of Rs. 493.25″ cr. The film made a total of Rs 953 crore worldwide, of which Rs 360 crore came from foreign markets, according to YRF.
