Pathaan box office collection Day 15: Shah Rukh Khan’s movie is still doing well in its second week, and by the conclusion of its third weekend, it could have earned more than Rs 900 crore worldwide.

Pathan collection__Pathaan, the latest film by Shah Rukh Khan, is shattering box office records. After a difficult 2022, Siddharth Anand’s spy thriller, which also stars John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, has given Bollywood some much-needed confidence. According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, Pathaan is still doing well in its second week and is projected to have made over Rs 6.7 crore on day 15 of release. With this addition, the movie’s approximate domestic gross revenue now stands at Rs 452.9 crore nett.
Even better, the movie made Rs 15.7 crore on Monday, Rs 7.75 crore on Tuesday, and even managed to pass the second Monday test with flying colours. Pathaan has already beaten KGF: Chapter 2’s record of Rs 434 crore in the Hindi market.
On its way to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film, Pathaan broke several records. It has defeated Aamir Khan’s Dangal (Rs 337 crore) and Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 337 crore), respectively (Rs 387 crore). The movie is now aiming for SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’s all-time Hindi record, which has a total take of Rs 510 crore.
Pathaan has performed exceptionally well across the board and is anticipated to surpass Rs 875 crore today. In the US and Canada, it has already surpassed RRR’s previous record of $14 million (about Rs. 115 crore). Just two months into 2023, Pathaan has surpassed four Chinese movies that had previously held that position, including Full River Red, The Wandering Earth 2, Boonie Bears: Guardian Code, and Hidden Blade. By the third weekend, Pathaan is anticipated to gross more than Rs 900 crore.
Bollywood has been revitalised by Pathaan’s phenomenal success, while the film industry had little to celebrate in 2022. Only a few number of movies last year could be considered successful despite being subject to boycott demands, including The Kashmir Files, Brahmastra, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Drishyam 2, and Bhool Bhulaiyya 2. On the other side, numerous Akshay Kumar movies, including Bachchan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Ram Setu, and Raksha Bandhan, as well as Aamir Khan’s long-gestating Laal Singh Chaddha, flopped at the box office.
After more than four years, Shah Rukh Khan is back in major roles with Pathaan. Many people had almost given up on the actor because none of his past four movies, Jab Harry Met Sejal, Fan, Raees, and Zero, were financially successful. After enduring both personal and professional setbacks over the previous four years, SRK made a comeback with Pathaan as an action star. The plot of the movie centres on a spy who must hunt down a violent mercenary. Together with Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir and Salman Khan’s Tiger, the character is now a part of the YRF Spy Universe.
